Phylogeny : Phylogeny is the study of relationships among different groups of organisms and their evolutionary development. Phylogeny tells us about the evolutionary history of all life on the planet.
Phylogeny is important because it enriches our understanding of how genes, genomes, species evolve.
Molecular Phylogeny is a branch of phylogeny that traces the evolutionary relationships on the concept that organisms that are more distantly related will have a greater number of differences in their DNA. DNA similarity is greatest among the most closely related species and least among the most distant.
